Join our Community of Practice
for Restoring Wetlands

Stemming from Resolution XIV.17 of the Convention on Wetlands, the Community of Practice for Wetland Restoration seeks to build comparative evidence on the climate services of diverse types of wetlands by involving a vast array of knowledge-holders – from managers and  decision-makers, to scientists and private actors, as well as civil society organisations, local stakeholders and restoration champions.

This community seeks to cultivate a collaborative and respectful environment for learning and growth, where members can:

  • build knowledge and skills collectively
  • identify training needs from different actors
  • co-design new training materials and initiatives

Currently, this Community hosts the  Working Group on wetland restoration for carbon and GHG mitigation

Note: this infographic was created in the framework of the Horizon Europe RESTORE4Cs project and focuses on the restoration of coastal wetlands. However, our community also seeks to involve different types of wetlands (peatlands, floodplains, etc)
