The fourth meeting of the Community of Practice for Wetland Restoration, set up under the RESTORE4Cs project, took place on 4 November. It brought together participants from across Europe to hear about the outputs of the R4Cs project and the transfer phase of the Wetland4Change project.

Carlos Rochera (Valencia University) provided an update on the research papers and white paper produced following the completion of R4Cs. He was then joined by Stanimera Ivanova (University of Forestry, Sofia), who provided an update on the Wetland4Change project, specifically around activities and products for the two elements, one on carbon update and greenhouse gas exchange, and the second on water retention and flow regulation to reduce flood impacts.

The group also discussed the future development of the Community of Practice, making links to sister projects and other networks, and to extend its relevance to the eastern and southern Mediterranean with others working on wetland restoration projects.
